Get ready for the 4th annual Playcon. This is a celebration of gaming, comics, and nerd culture! Featured will be vendors catering to these interests that include toys & collectibles, artwork, apparel, comic books, games and more. There will also be gaming competitions, free-play gaming, cosplay contest and guests, and panels. Bring the whole family, this is a family-friendly event.
The USS Andromeda will have a table space setup with our sister ship the USS Victorious promoting our chapters & STARFLEET. As well as demoing several Star Trek licensed games such as Cronotrek, Star Trek Fluxx, & even planning on running a Star Trek: Adventures RPG away mission. Come out & join us for this fun event!
Admiral Mark Anderson & Fleet Captain Jesse Taggart are co-hosting a panel with an overview of the nearly 6 decades of the iconic Star Trek franchise that has inspired generations to dream & build a better future for Humanity spanning a dozen shows, 13 movies, as well as hundreds of books, comics, & games.

SYFY Bartow is a free, family-friendly festival featuring costume contests, an art show, superhero karaoke, food, live music, science fiction vendors, large size props including Doctor Who’s Tardis, a movie and television car show, a play area for kids, local authors and stars, cosplayers, face painting, steampunk themed activities and many more surprises. And you can’t miss the always entertaining Miss SYFY Bartow pageant, featuring alluring aliens from across the galaxy!

The USS Andromeda shall have a table set up by other STARFLEET Region 2 chapters such as the USS Amelia Earhart, USS Haven, USS Russell Camp III, & USS Victorious.
Lt. Ko awarded the Order of Cochrane
As announced in the 2023 Q1 (Issue 214) STARFLEET Communiqué our Chief of Science, Jessica Ko, was awarded the Order of Cochrane 1st Class for taking the initiative to be involved on a fleet level by joining the Corps of Engineers & working on the STARFLEET News Service both behind & in front of the camera. Nominated by FCAPT Taggart & endorsed by Regional Coordinator (Region 2) COMM Mike Brown.
