Playcon Gaming and Comic Convention is an annual event dedicated to celebrating the diverse and vibrant world of gaming, comics, and nerd culture. Playcon brings together enthusiasts of all ages to enjoy gaming competitions, panels, cosplay contests, and a wide range of vendors showcasing the latest and greatest in toys, collectibles, artwork, apparel, comic books, and games.
The USS Andromeda will have a table space setup with our sister ship the USS Victorious promoting our chapters & STARFLEET.  Come out & join us for this fun event! We’ll have info on joining the International non-profit group, lots of Star Trek memorabilia to view, discussions on cast, crew, episodes, and the history of the Star Trek universe, as well as cosplay tips & tricks, upcoming events, & a few trinkets to pass on to the kids. We will also have information this year about our brand new Cetacean Ops department focused on how we can all do our part to protect local and global marine life and ecosystems.

 

Region Two Trivia Competition

Greetings Region Two,

On behalf of Starfleet International and the USS Haven out of Central Florida, we’d like to introduce a monthly trivia competition. With the exception of this month, the competition will take place on the third Monday of each month at 07:30pm – 09:00pm. Unless noted, the competition each month will focus on an individual episode and will be multiple choice.

This event is a giant street party and fair for the nerdy and geeky culture ..
Featuring all types of entertainment, costume contest, over 200 vendors, food trucks, ONE OF THE LARGEST GATHERINGS OF THE STAR WARS GROUP 501ST, costume contest, the largest science fiction car show in the continental United States
( with almost 200 cars in attendance) ,

The SYFY BARTOW PAGEANT, all the downtown businesses are open including restaurants, consignment shops, antique stores and our local comic book shop.

Get ready for the 4th annual Playcon. This is a celebration of gaming, comics, and nerd culture! Featured will be vendors catering to these interests that include toys & collectibles, artwork, apparel, comic books, games and more. There will also be gaming competitions, free-play gaming, cosplay contest and guests, and panels. Bring the whole family, this is a family-friendly event.
The USS Andromeda will have a table space setup with our sister ship the USS Victorious promoting our chapters & STARFLEET. As well as demoing several Star Trek licensed games such as Cronotrek, Star Trek Fluxx, & even planning on running a Star Trek: Adventures RPG away mission. Come out & join us for this fun event!
Admiral Mark Anderson & Fleet Captain Jesse Taggart are co-hosting a panel with an overview of the nearly 6 decades of the iconic Star Trek franchise that has inspired generations to dream & build a better future for Humanity spanning a dozen shows, 13 movies, as well as hundreds of books, comics, & games.

 

SYFY Bartow 2023

SYFY Bartow is a free, family-friendly festival featuring costume contests, an art show, superhero karaoke, food, live music, science fiction vendors, large size props including Doctor Who’s Tardis, a movie and television car show, a play area for kids, local authors and stars, cosplayers, face painting, steampunk themed activities and many more surprises. And you can’t miss the always entertaining Miss SYFY Bartow pageant, featuring alluring aliens from across the galaxy!

2022 Virtual International Conference

“Star Trek: Then & Now” Panel TBCC 2022

Saturday, July 30th at noon Commodore Alvin Dozier & Captain Jesse Taggart are hosting the panel “Star Trek: Then and Now” talking about the differences between the executive producer eras of Star Trek from the original series (live action & animated), their movies, & the dawn of The Next Generation under Gene Roddenberry, Rick Berman’s run of TNG, 4 TNG films, Deep Space 9, Voyager, & Enterprise, to Alex Kurtzman’s current series of Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks, Prodigy, & Strange New Worlds. Tampa Bay Comic Con 2022

Tampa Bay Comic Convention is Tampa’s largest, true comic convention. Featured are exhibitors that cater to a wide spectrum of interests including comic books, magazines, toys, games, Star Wars, Star Trek, anime, manga, cosplay, artwork, sketches, and apparel. In addition, a roster of comic industry professionals, and comicdom-related celebrities are in attendance for attendees to meet and greet. As admission is kept reasonable for adults and FREE for children, the Tampa Bay Comic Convention is a family-friendly convention.
